This weekend we finally wrapped up the network upgrade that caused us so much trouble the last week or so. About 9 hours of down time associated with the upgrade, most of which happened during non-business hours. Even so, planned or unplanned; that's more down time than experienced over the last 2 years combined.
Here's the tally:
1) IOS bug with CEF
2) IOS bug with AAA
3) Bad flash ram
Man, they just don't build/test this stuff like they used to. In addition – if we have to talk with one more of Cisco's overseas helpdesks – I'm gonna tear up my Cisco support contracts and burn them. At least this way I'll get something useful out of the deal – a little heat for a minute or two. Good grief!
