In October every year we have the Atkinson family reunion; its been ongoing for the last 115 years or something like that. Anyway, the day before the “official” reunion our branch of the family gets together for a visit. In 2005 we gathered at my father’s cousin’s home – an absolutely beautiful place.
The home is well over 100 years old and feels like stepping into a time machine as you enter the front door. They raise lamas and are active participants in the alpaca organization. If memory servers me correctly, they have something like 80 lamas. The b/w one in the picture is some nationally known show winner – this guy is worth more than my house.
It was a beautiful day October day, at a beautiful place, surrounded by family – life just doesn’t get any better than that!
