This weekends tournament in Ofallon, Missouri was a hard, long day of baseball. Not too many highlights to report – not much practice due to the cold weather and kicking things off with a AAA tournament wasn't easy. Our first game against the Columbia Twisters was delayed for 2 hours as the grounds crew worked to dry the fields from rain the night before. It was a close game, but the Dawgs found themselves on the losing end 6-5.
The day warmed up nicely as the Dawgs took on the JC Blazers losing 6-2. And finally after 12 hours on the ball field the Dawgs faced Missouri Crush, a Major league team. At the end of this game the score read more like a lopsided football game than a baseball game, 20-1. Hey, at least we weren't shutout!
This weekend another tournament in Columbia, Missouri. We looked a lot better at practice tonight, so hopefully we'll do better this weekend. Oh, pictures are posted, you'll find them in the photos section or just click here.
